Property cluttered with old structures and debris before cleanup and site prep

Clearing Out the Old to Prep a Property for Redevelopment

I’m Brandon Bange. The best compliment in this business is the call-back. This was a repeat customer — phase two of getting their property where they want it — and that kind of trust is exactly what I’m after.

The problem

The property was going to be redeveloped, but first it had to be cleared of years of accumulation: an old camper, abandoned structures, scattered debris, and overgrowth taking over the ground. Nothing new could happen until all of it was gone. You can’t build, grade, or even picture the next phase when the site’s still cluttered with the last twenty years.

This is the unglamorous part of redevelopment nobody thinks about when they’re dreaming up what comes next. Somebody’s got to deal with the camper that hasn’t moved in a decade, the structures falling in on themselves, and the brush that’s grown up around all of it.

How we tackled it

We don’t just move dirt — we solve property problems, and this one was about turning a cluttered lot back into a blank canvas.

  • Demolition — knocked down and broke up the abandoned structures so they could come off the property.
  • Debris removal — hauled out the old camper, the wreckage, and the scattered junk so nothing was left in the way.
  • Brush relocation — moved and dealt with the overgrowth so the ground was actually open.
  • Grading — once it was all cleared, graded the site back to a clean, workable slate ready for whatever’s next.

When there’s old slab, footings, or concrete mixed into the demo, that’s concrete tear-out territory too — same machine, same haul-off, all in one pass.

The result

A clean slate. The camper, the abandoned structures, the debris, and the overgrowth are all gone, and the ground’s graded and ready for the next phase of redevelopment. The customer can finally see their property for what it’s going to be instead of what it was.

What this means for your place

If you’ve got a property you want to do something with but it’s buried under old structures, junk, and brush, the cleanup is step one — and it’s the step that makes everything after it possible. Clearing and grading it to a clean slate, debris and concrete hauled clean off, sets you up to build, sell, or just use the ground. Plenty of older lots around Old Monroe need exactly this before anything new can start.
